What Are the Main Rewards and Challenges for International Media Organizations Operating in China
By the year 2001, eight state-owned radio, television, and film groups were being run. China Radio, Film and Television Group was established in the same year. This made the state control forceful, but still increased the scope of international media. Literacy rate in China was 89.9% among males and 72.7% among females (1995 estimates), which again testifies the intellectual demand of the population.
