He does not resort to childish behavior like cheerfulness, unecessary smile and naughtiness. Agressive behavior is a hallmark of the abused child. H does not play with his peers and instead hit them whenever he finds a chance. H constantly wanders from one place to another place aimlessly. Nglected child used to quarrel with other children over minor issues and scolded them with high tone and harsh rebukes. Mst of the abused children face the communication problems. Tey do not use the language properly and fail to express feelings.

Tey use language only as a tool to avoid punishment and please their parents. Dficiency in linguistic skills further makes them pessimistic and introverted. Tey avoid various social situations and try their best to keep themselves aloof from the company of their age groups. Cramics, achitecture, flm making, dawing, vdeo, pinting, potography, sulpture, pintmaking, cafts and designs are included in the study of visual arts. Vsual arts have the capacity of healing especially for those children who have communication problems. I retrieves the pain of low-esteem, lss-confidence and take initiatives.

Vsual arts performed as a sand box for the abused children and they expressed their inner through varied expressions in the visual arts (Conerly, 1986). Keping in view the services of arts in healing the patients, eperts have devised a term, clled ‘art therapy’. aform of psychotherapy that uses art media as its primary mode of communication. I is practiced by qualified, rgistered Art Therapists who work with children, yung people, aults and the elderly. Cients who can use art therapy may have a wide range difficulties, or diagnoses.

Tese include, fr example, eotional, bhavioral or mental health problems, larning or physical disabilities, lfe-limiting conditions, bain-injury or neurological conditions and physical illness. At therapy may be provided for groups, o for individuals, dpending on clients’ needs. I is not a recreational activity or an art lesson, athough the sessions can be enjoyable. Cients do not need to have any previous experience or expertise in art. Vsual arts are the manifestation of the creative qualities of the students. Te history the creative arts reveal that abnormal or persons can perform very well in the field of art.
