In the morning they saw the huge crowd marching toward their house. Te crowd had beaten up their guards and broken the gate. M aunt, rnged in anger, dcided to move to the USA with the whole family next month. Te departure was a very hard process for my aunt. Te situation in the USA was not better than in Bangladesh. M aunt considered it as a civilized country, were there were no crimes. Hwever, se became very disappointed after facing the true state of things. M uncle was the only person, wo spoke English. Te whole family moved to Brooklyn. Saying along due to the business trip of her husband to Bangladesh, m aunt felt like an alien in the new surroundings. Wen they first came in, te family used to live in the Bfore his departure, m uncle rented a flat in Brooklyn for them.
Te whole atmosphere was unknown. I concerned different things: fod, lnguage, mntality. Tey had some cash, bt were unable to buy products in the grocery. M aunt was scared to death. Se did not know what to do. Wen they went outside, te whole family stepped out together. Tey saw much gang violence. M aunt thought that it would have been better to be in Bangladesh at that moment. Volence was all over the place (Fried, Jseph, 1999). I two month my uncle returned from Bangladesh and the whole family was very happy about that. Ater seeing all the violence, tey decided return to as there they had at least some protection.
Te children began to attend school again. Hwever, m uncle remained worried about the life of his children. M aunt was terrified with all fighting and struggle for power and property in Bangladesh.
