Stephen Edwin King is an American author who is often referred to as the King of fiction. He is an author of contemporary suspense, horror and science fiction novels. Most of his novels have actually been acted as movies. He has received several accolades for his work receiving a lot of attention worldwide.
King was abandoned by his father when he was very young and had to be raised by his mother. One of his first work to be published was entitled, “I was a Teenage Grave Robber," The story was first published in 1965 in the fan magazine which was called comics review. Due to that story, King got a scholarship and attended the University of Maine in Orono.
In this paper, we will find out if King`s work is as good as portrayed in the recognition that he has received over time.

To do this, we will review his novel entitled, The Shining. We will find out if it's thrilling as people say. We will also look at how other reviewers have said about the novel. The novel has also been acted as a movie. We will watch it and make a verdict on how well the skills of imagination that King possesses.
In the novel, The Shining by Stephen King there is various creepy scenes. One can't help but imagine them when reading the novel. All the three main characters of the book experience these circumstances. King, makes sure that the book is not boring and repetitive. To do this, he ensures that the characters experience the same instance but reacts differently from their experiences. Each and every character has their own strengths and weaknesses. A good example is Danny and Jack, they both react in two different ways when they encounter horrific situations. King uses this plot so as to make the novel continuous.
Danny is a very young boy has an open mind that one would not expect in a boy his age. He is yet to be hardened by the cruelty of the world. However, he is forced to see the world from a more mature perspective. Jack on the other side is a complete foil when compared to Jack.
