This concept brings out three different situations in which people act. They are on-stage, backstage and in the general public (Jarvis, 2010).On-stage is also called front stage. An actor on stage formally performs and adheres to set conventions that have a meaning to the audience. Performance is consistent and contains generalized ways to explain a role or situation the actor is playing to an observing audience.
