Most of these state laws demands investigations on the family with an intention to adopt and most importantly court approval before the couple can be allowed to adopt a child.

State laws have however offered different variety when it comes to adoption especially in the early 2000.Executive director: Most import contribution today is the fact that adoptees can be infants or older children. The kids may be adopted as sibling group or just as an individual. The laws also make it easy for families to adopt either from the local are or from other states or countries. The state laws has also made it possible for any type of family to adopt and raise a child. This means that adoptive parents can either be married couples, single men or women, or nontraditional couples. Adoptive parent can also be with children or child as both cases are permitted in the law.Executive director: I would just like to say that as much as transracial adoption may not be the ideal solution, it is very valuable alternative. When faced with the choice of having children growing up in orphanages all over the world, or forming families through transracial adoption, my choice is therefore very clear. There is a crisis at hand and transracial adoption is the best option for abandoned children. However, there are many flaws with this practice, as TRAs have told us, and these problems must be dealt with to ensure an even better life for the next generation of transracial.
