Organization reported its calculations that 2-14% of the gross domestic product of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand derives from sex tourism. In addition, while Asian countries, including Thailand, India, and the Philippines, have long been prime destinations for child-sex tourists, in recent years, tourists have increasingly travelled to Mexico and Central America for their sexual exploits as well. Therefore, it is indubitable that the booming industry of sex tourism has attained significance all over the world and this industry is closely linked to hospitality industry. In a reflective exploration of the recent trends in the hospitality industry across the world, it becomes highly lucid that sex tourism has been on the rise in various parts of the world and the advancements in the hospitality industry have greatly helped the ongoing popularity of sex tourism. This paper undertakes a profound investigation of the recent trends in the hospitality industry, with reference to countries such as Thailand, Hong Kong and Caribbean countries, to comprehend the growth of sex tourism within hospitality industry.There has been increasing research interest in tourism, travel and sex, due mainly to the advent of the HIV epidemic in the 1980s and the ongoing studies on the topic have come up with convincing evidence to the growth of sex tourism within hospitality industry. With the advancements in international travel and tourism, the number of tourists who seek sex abroad has risen tremendously and the incidence of sexually transmitted infections such as HIV has increased hugely in the hospitality industry. Although research into the sexual health risks associated with international travel and tourism has a great relevance, there are various other issues which need to be analysed when examining travel, tourism and sex. The advent of the HIV epidemic in the 1980s has served to focus attention to various pertinent issues associated with international travel and tourism. According to Stephen Clift and Simon Carter, “any examination of sex, travel, and tourism crystallises a number of issues, such as: the configurations of power at local, national and transnational levels; sexual identity and representation of ethnicity; issues around gender, labour and leisure; and the economic inequalities often found between tourist-sending and host nations.” (Clift & Carter 2000, p.
