Effects Of Technology On The Art And Design Field. Considering the story by Neil Postman on technological aspects, the aspect of technopoly1 considered relating to the surrender of the native cultures that many people applied to the field for more technology-enhanced designs that have captured the attention of the market. Neil puts it that the drive of technology has related to the aspects of the people and their understanding of technology. “One characteristic of those who live in Technopoly is that they are largely unaware of both the origins and the effects of their technologies”.The success registered through technology in the art and design field has slowly developed to register in many people with more insights into the developments portrayed by Carr and Postman.

These two considered the possible contributions of technology to the field of art and design and the different questions that develop around this field in relation to art and design are what the researcher focuses on. Considering the different contributions both positive and negative develops a clear picture of the contributions that technology has occasioned to the field. The research considers the negatives and positive contributions that technology has led to and considering these, one learns that the technological effects on the art and design field provide more positive effects compared to the negative. These effects include the improvement and simplification that technology has brought into the field. These improvements include the introduction of software items that provide ease for the development of designs for the different design needs that many of the fields in the world today need. The positives outweigh the negatives and these include the provision of software aspects that have hastened the design process. Using technology, complex technological designs and artistic features have been created that provide the different needs of the world. The effects have led to the development of designs that have proven possible for different structures complex as the Burj Khalifa structure in Dubai.
