This family includes smallest creatures, aimals and mankind, al created by God. Aongst all creatures, mnkind has the ability to think and rule the earth, terefore bears greater responsibility to exercise tolerance. Mn must show tolerance to fellow beings irrespective of religion or caste. Hnduism preaches that tolerance is essence of human life and all other religions or paths leading to God are true and legitimate. I is wrong to consider oneself on true path while others at a wrong one. De to belief of tolerance Hinduism in existed for centuries with Buddhism, Ilam, Skhism, Jinism and many other religions at the same time.

I Indian history very less Hindu rulers invaded foreign lands in the name of religion. A said by Gandhi the famous Hindu leader “The chief value of Hinduism lies in holding the actual belief that all life (not only human beings, bt all sentient beings) is one, i all life coming from the universal source, cll it Allah, Gd or Parameshwara. H has as many names as you can possibly give Him” (Shandon).

Bddhists think that tolerance is a basic need of humanity due to its vast presence and diverse living conditions which cannot be covered by single teaching. in originate from teachings of Buddha called Dhamma.

Tlerance does not mean acceptance of injustice or leaving one’s conviction. I means that all are free to live according to their beliefs. Bddhists claim that in Buddhist history of twenty-five centuries no blood has been shed in the name of religion. Bddhism teaches people to live and let live. Bddhists do not regard other religions as threat or hurdle for world peace. Tey do not believe in God and do not kill other creatures as part of food. Bddha his followers consider his teachings as guideline and use their own minds for advancing in life.
