Collection with that of Bakhtins Principles of Carnivalesque. Social Overturning: In this collection, the element of social overturning is also found. Using bold shapes and cuts, I have been able to create an aura of authority for the wearer of the garment. As this collection is meant for females, I have to able to give authority to females in a male dominant society. Crowning and Uncrowning: The coats and layers that are present in my design collection create an impact of crowing and uncrowning. Coats are usually associated in the modern world as symbol of the business and elite class. While coats create the whole feel for the garment, they could also be removed and thus the element of crowing and uncrowning is also present. Gay &/Or Bisexual, and/or Transgender Identities: The Gay and Bisexual have their own distinctive personality and my collection creates its own distinctive personality through the use of abstract patterns.

Since you cannot properly define abstract shapes, it aptly fits the gay and the bisexual, people that are difficult to define. 8. Oceanic Feeling of Union: I have blue and black consistently throughout my collection giving the collection an oceanic feel. Though the outfits are created as two or three-piece garment, the colors in each piece unifies the whole outfit as one piece. 9. Space of the Sacred: Coats have been extensively used in my collection and they create a space of the sacred. Coats stem from the metal chain emails that serve to protect the soldiers. These soldiers were sacred to the people because they protected the society against invasion. 10. Valorization of the Obscene, Nonsensical, OR Marketplace: While I have used patterns and cuts to increase the appeal of the designer collection, the clothes are still ordinary wear garments. Pants, shirts, and skirts are considered in modern society as daily wear garments. Release from Conventional Social Decorum: When considering the color combination for my design collection, I chose a color combination by going outside the dictates of the color wheel and developing one on my own.
