Public Administration. Unemployment is one of the major problems facing different regions across the globe. As a result, the government of the United States has played a significant role in addressing the presented problem to avoid the negative consequences of lack of jobs in the region (Thies, 2017). To address the situation, the members of the government implemented different strategies of critical thinking to establish ways of solving the outlined problem. The procedure involved the implementation of a step-by-step technique of decision making to ensure the right and a feasible solution was established. The presented analysis provides an explanation of the decision-making process implemented by the government to resolve the outlined problem of unemployment.

To address the presented issue of unemployment, the government is required to flow a six-step procedure as outlined to make a rational decision. 
Step 1: Problem definition
The first step involves the definition of the situation and its desired outcome (Adamczak, Domański & Wagener, 2016). In the presented case of analysis, the situation at hand is that of unemployment. The situation is mainly evident as a result of limited jobs in America. The desired outcome is to create enough employment opportunities to ensure more people are included in the job market, therefore, reducing the cases of unemployment.
Step 2: Options identification
Step two of the decision-making process involves identifying the options which can be taken into consideration to deal with the problem at hand (Hausmann et al., 2016). some of the options for consideration in the case of unemployment include the creation of more job openings and encouraging people to venture into self-employment.
Step 3: Alternatives and Consequences 
The third step of the decision-making process involves exploring the options and alternatives established to solve the problem while exploring the consequences likely to arise after implementation. Creating more job openings is a problem that can be considered in dealing with the issue of unemployment. . Public Administration.
