Current specifications propose a 3metre wide path for a full multi-user path and a 2. 5etre wide path where horse riders are barred. Te path should sit, were space allows, i a wider corridor with a minimum 1 meter boundary either side or appropriate landscaping to the boundaries. Te existing bridge is proposed to be redesigned and replaced with one that caters for both bicycle and pedestrian use. Te new bridge will effectively connect the two locations without having to seek an alternative longer route. Te new greenway the potential to attract visitors from other regions.

Tis will create opportunity for tourism related enterprises to spring up; cnsequently fuelling job growth in local stores, rstaurants and lodging facilities. O top of the extensive congestion and air quality advantages, te project is also attractive from economic development, rcreation and tourism points of view. When complete the project will support the Nottingham Park as a recreational and leisure terminus for everybody who wants to access a lengthy, fat track that’s open and harmless for all for walking and bicycling, sniors and people with physical disabilities.
