As the process will be progressing through the semester, participants will find themselves actively lesson planning on issues involving growing success more so descriptive feedback (Caro-Bruce, 2008).Transition of teachers to assessment for learning instructional model requires teamwork with fellow teachers to ensure effective student learning and skill development. Before the collaborative inquiry was implemented, competency levels of teachers varied. Collaborative inquiry utilization will help teachers acquire training on professional development. They, therefore, will focus their attention on developing their skills in teaching in a teamwork setting. Through feedback opportunities and success criteria, these collaborative inquiry teams will put emphasis on active student participation in the learning process.Benefits of this initiative will be experienced by the board, teachers, and students. The board will be able to align its learning goals as well as its success criteria. Similar relationships will be developed for subject teachers in all schools run by the board that will help in reducing isolation. Teachers, on the other hand, will develop professional knowledge of ways of working within a collaborative environment. They will also develop teaching skills needed for growing success. Finally, teachers will professionally grow on the provision of effective descriptive feedback.Students will benefit from explicit teaching of success criteria and learning goals utilization in assessment evaluation, clear communication of the relevance of course and learning facilities and finally they will benefit from the inclusion of descriptive feedback (peer, self, teacher) along with instructions on how to effectively use them (Gray, 2012).The goal of the practicum is to give teachers and students opportunity to share a common interest, investment and understanding of the learning process (Danohoo, 2012). These strategies will work hand in hand to meet the improvement plans of schools and boards along with the procedures and policies of evaluation and assessment from the Ministry of Education.Collaborative inquiry helps in harmonizing the competency levels of teachers (Gray, 2012). Failing to embrace these results in variation incompetency of teachers which culminates to differences in the information passed to students. These disparities imply that some teachers adhere to the curriculum while others don’t. Two sets of students
