Being a perfectionist, Icannot help but plan my day and my meal. Icannot bear to waste time wondering what to do or what to eat. Tus everyday, Iprepare a "to do" list for me to ensure things I should do will be done the way I want it to be. Iam not ashamed of being a perfectionist. Wat makes me hate this part of being me is the fact that I always end up too disappointed whenever I fail to do something in my list and this seem to my family and friends.

M family and friends always tell me that I overanalyze everything that I forgot to enjoy my life anymore. Ihate it when my friends can just make fun and laugh about the some things they messed up while I cant. Mking a mistake me feel so stupid and I cant help but blame myself. Is harder to stop at this point because Ive already got used to it. Bt my family and friends always encourage me to be light, tke things slow and enjoy every A they say, lfe will never be perfect and being imperfect is what makes us human.

Mstakes make a person stronger and better. Ihave tried to stop and consider what my peers told me but it is never easy. Acording to Duhigg (2012), idividuals and habits are all different. I we are looking for the correct formula to change habits, ten we will never get it because it does not exist. I Duhiggs book entitled The Power of Habit (2012), h identified the habit loop and the framework to our habit as well as the formula that out brain follows why we have habits.

Te habit loop is constituted by a routine, rward and cue. Pople can only understand their habit once they know the components of this habit. Rutine is the behavior a person want to change. Bing a perfectionist by going through planning everything, rviewing and analyzing again and again to avoid mistakes is the routine I want to try to get rid of. Rewards as identified by Duhigg (2012) is the satisfying cravings driving a habit.

Wat satisfy a perfectionist is being acknowledged, tusted and respected by people. Te cue refers to the triggering factor of the habit. I is very hard to identify the cue because we are feed with different information around us. Bt Duhigg (2012) enumerated five categories that would help us identify the cue to our habit. lwhich include: lcation, tme, eotional state, oher people present and immediate preceding action.
