Political Class Description. The book “Peasants into Frenchmen” is a candid and yet provocative account of the life led by peasants in France. With the advent of modernization, the author Eugene Weber shows the transition of peasants into Frenchmen. French was embraced as the Lingua franca by all countrymen and all local dialects were abandoned. This created a nationalist spirit and gradually over time, France became indivisible and one. A national spirit can be created in other nations, when countrymen cultivate a national culture. Such a culture will be unique, and a sense of great pride for the nation. There is also need to overcome barriers to development in marginalized areas. This is through fair allocation of resources, development of infrastructure and ICT.

This will further foster a national spirit as all countrymen will feel valued and appreciated by the administration.The film “The commanding heights” highlights the importance of capitalization, free markets and globalization for the prosperity of nations. These concepts have been successfully embraced by first world countries. Their economy has prospered as compared to the socialist and first world countries. Key disparities exist between free market capitalism and socialism. Means of production are owned by private individuals in a capitalist system. Decision making is vested in the individuals who own the means of production i. companies and business. All businesses operate to make profit and to further enrich the owners or shareholders. In a socialist system, the means of production is owned by the public or state. The people work for the common good as the resources/profits are evenly distributed among the workers. The state regulates the fair distribution of wealth to all citizens.Political culture comprises of the distinguishing values, beliefs, attitudes, behavioral patterns and habits that define a political community. It also entails the evaluative, affective and cognitive inclination to a political system. The importance of political culture is not public solidarity on key issues but rather serves as a guide for citizens in the participation of political processes. The concept has been recognized as a powerful and yet unifying subject in Political Science. Analysis of political culture is useful in understanding how people affect their respective political systems (Chilton 419).With the advent of globalization, gender has impacted greatly on political, social and economic.
