Being kind and considerate to these animals means that one will do everything within his or her power to ensure their habitats are protected from damage or exploitation by human beings.In my coursework, I have been involved in various research projects. In the course of the projects, I was able to comprehend a range of environmental issues in the contemporary world, and as well gained goematic and analytical skills in geography. I am sure these skills are applicable in my role as a student in the University of California and also in my future career. Any expert in the field of geography ought to be conversant with the different analytical skills in order to be able to analyze soil, water, and air samples. In my coursework, I learnt how human settlements are located and also widely read on how changes in these settlements could impact nature. Subsequently, I was able to understand how various strategies could be implemented to mitigate the effects of human activity and settlements on the environment.My father taught me to ski when I was young. In fact, I used to join him for skiing in Jungfrau. Learning to ski has a lot of challenges. A learner has to get used to constant falls and persevere. Each fall and struggle I encountered in this learning process has taught me major lessons in life. For instance, I have learnt that challenges are part of life. At times, one is destined to fall or fail in his or her endeavors but it is imperative to press on for one to succeed. These lessons have made me the person I am today.Anybody who knows how to ski can attest to the fact that skiing is not a team sport like football and basketball. It is easier to succeed as a team as compared to working independently. However, teamwork denies the players the ability to gain independence. Through skiing, I have learnt the art of independence and conversely learnt how to be accountable of my own actions or endeavors. In the modern world, independence is of fundamental importance for a person to succeed. Learning independence contributed to my success in my volunteer position as an assistant in an institution training disabled persons. As an employees, one does not necessarily require constant supervision for him or her to achieve his or her objectives. Being accountable meant that the actions I took in dealing with the disabled persons were in line with the institutions code of ethics and were morally right.Skiing also gave me an
