Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. This is unnatural thus representing the dark side of passion (Shakespeare 1590).Satyr is usually seen as a form of characterization, in the sense that, they were seen as people who indulged in excessive drinking, immorality and broke traditional rules and taboos. In relating satyr to Midsummer night dream, one may realize that satyr may be classified as a comedy and a tragedy play whereas Midsummer night dream is only a comedy (Shakespeare 1590). The chorus is seen as the amusing effect of the satyr play as it illustrates the relation for wanton, insolent, saucy and cowardly origin of satyrs. In a certain satiric drama, the costumes and attires were goats’ horns on the head, and they looked like half goats and half men, seen as goat deities of Doric type.

Pastoral play is mostly seen as a way of art, nature, and life. This is an attitude linked with a combination of values instead of clear literary conventions. The pastoral play is usually seen as a mode of debate in resonance between the functional values of the society in conjunction with the contemplative life. It is usually expressed as opposition of negotium that is involved in civic, social life business and idleness or ease. The pastoral play relates to midsummer in enhancing acceptance of own responsibility.There is metamorphosis and transformation in this power of art. This is evidenced by the connection between imagination, reason and love. One sees it as a reality and experiences in perceptions of mankind condition. It starts in ways similar to tragedy and danger. This is depicted by the shown fear in relation to love and imagination (Shakespeare 1590). There are consequences of violence, rape and death threats, hence the play is seen as most brutal and truthful play. The moonlight in connection with the hunting, madness, feminity, night and revelry, helps to understand the imaginations and the nature of it.This art has influenced natural vacillations of mankind taste. Artists exploring less, complex styles create opportunities to the viewers that lead to illusion of the reality. Most of the Greek and Roman culture became necessary in play and this was effected by changing scenes during performance in courts.Shakespeare has implemented various forms of stage devices and literally to show the art of play with distinctive language that outreach it, showing transposition, transfiguration and translation but the expression is different.
