Demographics and Diversity Issue in the World Services Workforce. For example, when the employee from the minority group join the organization, they may be treated differently because of their culture and language. However, when they interact with one another over time, people may forget the surface level differences and begin to recognize their values and beliefs. For this reason, managers are encountering demographic diversity at higher level than in earlier days. Relational demography is a theory that proposes that individuals compare their demographics characteristics with others in social units to whether they are similar or dissimilar. These levels of similarities or dissimilarity affect the individual work-related attitudes and behaviors. In other words, the individual may yield different work-related attitudes in various social contexts.

In today’s world, there are many ethnic people joining the workforce. Due to the increase in globalization, the companies have become more diverse. In addition, increase in education is bringing individuals who have significant input into the organization. These individuals have brought a vast array of knowledge from their cultural backgrounds. People from different cultural backgrounds see things from different perspectives, for this reason the organization understands the needs of people throughout the world. In Quest Global Services, the workforce is composed of people from nine different countries. Additionally, gender is very visible in diverse and demographic characteristic within an organization. There are few misconceptions on whether women perform as well as men on jobs as men do. But, few differences between men and women affect job performance. The percentage of women in the workplace is increasing. The percentage of female workers in Quest Global Services has increased to 48% in 2014 as a result of changes in equal pay for men and women for equal work. There is an increase in the number of women participating in higher education as well as changes in employment conditions such as flexible work option and family leave.
