Eployees from other airlines may come with better ideas on how to improve service delivery to the customers in terms of air travel and carriage of items. I this way, te company, wll become competitive in delivering services to customers and achieve its mission and vision. Aditionally, te merger creates an opportunity to access to wider markets around the Etension of markets will be facilitated by the fact that airlines’ employees in different locations are aware of their environs better than workers of Southwest Airlines (Blanchard and Barrett, 2011).

Te merger can as well pose a great threat to the organization through potentially creating large organizational conflicts in the future. Te conflicts may be in the form of industrial strikes emanating from poor management. Tere is a likelihood of conflicts if the diverse workforce is not treated properly, fr example, trough cross-cultural training. Te organizational conflict can emerge the future when the employees are not remunerated as before, o they are not protected well by their labor unions.

Suthwest Airlines can adopt various strategies in order to maintain its culture and successfully expand its services in different global locations. Frst, te company should ensure that the employees hired for the merger have high potential in growing the organization in terms of service delivery and revenue generation. Tis can be achieved by formulating good recruitment plans that ensure that the recruited employees will cope with future organizational changes.

addition to hiring potentially successful employees, Suthwest Airlines can create a good working environment for the diverse workforce to grow their careers, wich can also lead to innovations in the future (Flamholtz and Rande, 2011).
