The State of the Nuclear Power in the Modern World. The statistics of the world show that out of the 188 countries, nuclear proliferation is available to five. However, other three countries like Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan have the weaponry, which is in the possession of the Commonwealth. The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty states that proliferation of the nuclear weaponry is to be stopped. However, other three countries like Ukraine, Belarusian Kazakhstan have the weaponry, which is in the possession of the Commonwealth. The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) states that proliferation of the nuclear weaponry is to be stopped. Many other countries in the world are supposed to be nuclear powers like India, Pakistan, and North Korea. The nuclear theorists predict that the proliferation of nuclear weaponry is inevitable because most of the countries in the world want to secure the borders.

This will help in the stabilization of the world when there is no warfare. However, with the outbreak of wars, the result will be catastrophic. This has prompted the construction of the NPT, which has been successful to some extent. It has been useful to make the states understand the disastrous effects of nuclear proliferation. As a result, various countries like China, Ukraine, Belarus etc. have decided to sign the NPT. However, in the wake of the recent happenings, it has been seen that the proliferation in the modern world is inevitable with the growth of technology. Some countries like Iraq have made use of the loose inspections of the global political world to develop nuclear armory. However, with the breaking of the NPT, a debate has risen about the proliferation agenda of the world. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been given the responsibility of fulfilling the responsibilities of NPT. The IAEA has the right to investigate the happenings in the field of the atomic weaponry in the countries of the world. In addition to these bodies, there are other bodies like the Latin American Nuclear Free Zone and the South Pacific Nuclear Free Zone, which look into the matter of nuclear proliferation. .
