Some may learn activities that are constructive and emulate them, but other activities may make one uncomfortable. For instance, there are ritual rites performed in some cultures that other cultures have no clue about (Miczo and Welter 89). In the movie, the aboriginal boy paints himself with tribal markings as a marital ritual, but Jenny has no idea what he is up to. He goes ahead and dances before her, but because she has never experienced this before, she ignores the poor boy even after wasting all his energy on the dance. According to the boy, this dance was meant to lure Jenny into falling for him because this was a common thing in his culture. The boy is humiliated as he feels rejected by Jenny, but he does not know that she has no idea what he wants (Eick 211).Fear is another issue, which occasionally surfaces especially when in an environment where one is not familiar with. When people are used to doing certain things in their cultures, they may find it very hard to do the same things in a different culture. They may think that somebody is watching or they also fear being scolded and exposed to ridicule from those around them. This scenario may lead to limited trust for those around them as they do things outside their comfort zone (Oommen 121). In the movie, Jenny and Luc find themselves abandoned in a new environment different from the one they are used to.
