However, the basic principles remained the same but techniques changed dramatically over the past few decades. Even in the modern age of the 21st century, weather experts are measuring rainfall in millimetres and centimetres. The main idea of scientific development is to minimize the level of human effort needed to get the job done. The concepts remain the same and means of applying them change as world clock moves forwards (Kemp, 1994). The conventional methods of measuring rainfall were crude and these were more prone towards experience human error and climatologists faced significant difficulties in terms of issuing flood warnings and they had limited geographical coverage and therefore, the estimates were inaccurate most of the times. The manual systems of measuring rainfall had to be replaced with mechanical and computerized ones so that the accuracy of measurements can improve and therefore, the quality of decision making can also be enhanced. Technological intervention in the featured field have minimized dangers to human life and taken off the burden of measuring rainfall manually from the shoulders of climatic experts. Some of the tools used to measure temperature will also be discussed in the following section:-Thermocouples are temperature measuring devices and they usually consist of two different conductors that are contacted with each other on at least one point. The device is known to generate a specific level of voltage whenever there is a significant difference in the temperature level of one point from that of another which used as a reference. Thermocouples are the most applied instrument to measure temperature. They also have the limited potential to convert temperature gradient into electricity and experts in alternative sources of energy are very interested in applying the method used by thermocouples to produce electricity on a vast scale. These instruments are cost effective and have the ability to gauge temperature in more than one environments. They are usually powered with battery and therefore do not require to be connected to external power source in order to function (Wrbanek, Fralick, & Zhu, 2012). However, they are less accurate and less reliable as well and because of these reasons, professionals do not apply them and they are applied to get a rough idea of temperature levels in multitude of situations. The digital thermocouples conventionally measure temperature in Celsius with a
