A this time, tere is a requirement to put into practice a multilevel residency curriculum to supervise admission into neuroscience nursing and throughout transitions to ranks of greater oversight (IOM, 2010). Te second main message of the IOM Future of Nursing report proposed that nurses should attain higher levels of education and via an enhanced educational curriculum that endorses seamless academic progression (IOM, 2010).

I is also crucial that AANN reflect on supporting options comprising degree and non-degree courses, fllowships, ad institutions that promote the education and support lasting learning of neuroscience nurses (IOM, 2010). Tis message auger well with two aims enshrined in the AANN strategic plan: Te third main message of the IOM Future of Nursing report appeals for nurses to fully partner with physicians and other healthcare practitioners, i re-scheming the U. halthcare services (IOM, 2010). T meet this objective, a alteration in the way nurses view their duty to patients and contacts with other healthcare needed.

Aditionally, nrses must gain the requisite educational training to fit in this new healthcare model. Te World Health Organization (WHO) has acknowledged the necessity for healthcare professionals to work together as part of a healthcare team. Tis will go a long way in ensuring effective delivery of healthcare services (WHO, 2010). Nuroscience nurses collaborate with other medical practitioners to provide top notch services to their patients. Sphisticated educational training and proficiency upgrades are essential to operate in this healthcare model. Nuroscience nurses must have a combination of skill sets that will allow them to function as team players, tam leaders, ad patient advocates.
