Men talk more in formal settings and at work as opposed to women.Through, the analysis of formal settings like seminar and conference, it has been observed that when the floor is opened for questions, it is usually men who speak up. Even though around 40% of the speakers are women and similar is the composition of the audience, but when it comes to speaking up or asking questions it is usually men who do the talking (Tannen, 113).Women generally feel that men don’t talk to them much.
