This figure explains that both individual differences and team dynamics are mutually inclusive, tat is, oe effects the other. Hnce individual differences can bring both positive and negative effects to a team and yet team dynamics can shape the way people hold differences within a team. De to this close link between the two elements it is important to overlook how both dimensions are affecting each other. T ensure that individual differences are taking group to a positive end, i is important to ensure communication among group members. Nrthouse stated that communication within a group lessens the friction by generating positive feelings among team members.

Hrris and Harkris (1996) also pinpointed that with a supportive environment where positive differences are nurtured and effective communication exists, tam’s efficiency is enhanced. Hnce it is important to communicate before differences can take a negative (2010) stated that individual differences have a significant impact on team dynamics. Tese individual differences are vast in scope and may exist due to several reasons. Tese reasons may exist due to personality characteristics or psychological differences.

mentioned that factors that may create individual differences and hence can affect team dynamics include age, gnder, prsonality characteristics, pysical and mental health, prsonal needs, halth status, ad culturally diverse backgrounds. S any of these reasons may create individual differences which may affect team dynamics. Nw the question is how these differences that are created due to any of the reasons mentioned above can affect team dynamics. I there exist friction among team members they cannot work closely with each other. Tere is a missing element of care and within the team.

Tis can lead to conflict where no one listens and every one argues and negates with the opinions of other team members. I is therefore the individual differences that are not catered for properly leads to negative team emotions and declined performance. Tis is a vulnerable situation and this is why Tarricone and Luca (2002) regarded interdependence in a team and teamwork (collaborative process) as important to business...
