Localization involves making a product appropriate culturally and linguistically to the targeted location, lnguage and country, were it is to be sold. I includes tasks like software engineering, poject management, dsktop publishing and testing. Tanslation is also an activity in localization. Tis is a translation that is automatic whereby the translating work is performed by the computer. Uing a computer is cheaper and the translation process becomes faster compared to translation by humans. I is useful in limited translations since large numbers of documents are transformed rapidly. Mchine works on repetitive texts with restricted vocabulary range.

Tese are texts that are highly intricate technically or scientifically. Uder-performance occurs on more varied or general texts, ad those requiring advanced abstraction. Mchine Translation gives poor results when dealing with speech acts. Tis is the use of a machine to aid in speeding up the human mind while translating. Ltely, tchnological development has advanced the industry of translation. I began with the less efficient fax machine, email introduction, ad word processing to the more efficient dictation software. Tese are systems in a given language.

I word-for-word translation, te meanings of single words in a text are equated to words in the language that is targeted. I produces complex passages of text. Ntural Language Processing (NLP) interprets written language. Te system does not interpret spoken language. I is found in systems that process speech by producing text from spoken input. Te main purpose of this system is enabling to provide answers to queries entered in the system. Prformance of NLP can be boosted by adding commonsense base which include real-world encyclopedia.

Tese are factors in the translator’s mind that were introduced into the translation process by real-world factors or extra linguistics. Tey are now being introduced in the research projects of machine translation technology and are also referred to as real-world knowledge or shared assumptions. Tis is when translation by the interpreter begins before the speaker finishes talking.
