Te high stakes of the fashion industry mean that any form of idealization that may not conform to the expectations of the contemporary society is bound to come to light. T te fashion industry is still showing signs of reservations against certain aspects of human existence despite the relatively liberal mindset that is presented to the general public.

Tis is highlighted by stereotyping of certain ethnic or racial orientations to conform to certain ideologies, o the general supremacism of the white race that tends to be highlighted at various fashion weeks with each year. I the analysis of the relationship between race, ehnicity, ad fashion, i is prudent to identify the different races in the fashion industry. Gven that ethnicity wider facet of identification, tere is no specific definition of the different ethnic forms that exist as they have merged and resulted in varied forms of ethnic identification.

Aditionally, ehnic orientation is extremely dynamic and cannot be definitively characterized in an abstract form. Terefore, te major element in the fashion industry is the racial orientation, wich ranges from the whites to the blacks. I general, wites are regarded as the epitome of beauty in the fashion industry (Hobson 2005, p Around 80% of fashion events feature white models, this goes to highlight the position that the white race holds in the fashion industry.

Ten there are the Asians. Tey also have their own niche in the fashion industry. Tough not as advanced as that of the whites, tey have their own ideal situations and stereotyping that identifies their idealization in the fashion industry. Te third race is the Latinas, wo are generally stereotyped as being sultry and seductive in their fashion representations. Wile not as common, tey are also very effective at depicting the segregation in fashion industry.
