Paleoethnobotanists examine unique plant materials such as seeds and roots to establish their relationship with existing plants. Te method can also be used to establish how people used certain types of plants (Robert 142). Pleoethnobotanists consider plant materials found close to ancient settlements as plants that were commonly used by ancient communities. Sch plants are likely to have been used as a source of food or to provide housing materials. Foatation method also recovers charcoal or burnt plant remains, sch remains enable archeo-botanists to establish the period when using fire.

Te recovered materials also enable archeologists to identify the different uses of controlled fire. Crbon dating is also a useful method in Paleoethnobotany; te method is applied on recovered plant materials. T study the subject of carbon dating effectively, Pleoethnobotanists require knowledge of time and its implication to past plant and human life (Miksicek 217). Crbon dating method enables them to identify the period or era that a certain fossil existed. Te method can, terefore, b used to establish how people used different plants at different time dating method can also be used to establish the era that a certain plant became extinct.

Crbon dating can also be used to establish the different periods in the development of humanity. Etraction of past plant and animal remains is an expensive venture and, terefore, Pleoethnobotanists do not take chances. T reduce uncertainty when identifying useful sites, Pleoethnobotany relies on remote sensing. Tis method is also used to establish global distribution of a certain plant. Uing the extraction method, Pleoethnobotanists are able to establish the variation in the of in a wider environment.

Te method also enables Paleoethnobotanists to establish plants that were commonly used by people. Ueful plants were the first ones to be domesticated and cultivated. Te variation of certain plant remains across the globe across the globe enables Paleoethnobotanists to determine plants that were of greater importance to people. Iformation recovered using the above methods enable Paleoethnobotanists to reconstruct existing evidence about the past relationships between plants and humanity. Rconstruction of history is the main objective of the subject. Mterials and evidence recovered. ..
