Generally, a business entity has to categorize information as proprietary for it to be regarded as classified.Proprietary information may comprise confidential formulas, procedure and techniques used in manufacturing. It can as well comprise a companys trade and marketing strategies, remuneration structure, client directories, contracts and particulars of its computer structures. In some instances, the exceptional information and expertise that an employee has acquired concerning the work are taken to be a corporation’s proprietary information. Financial information, for example, can be proprietary information and encompasses production and overhead costs, profit margins, sales and order volumes prior to quarterly release, budgets, quotas and targets, information on a particular products sales, orders or projections. In manufacturing information, rival companies like Coca-Cola and Pepsi tend to classify their manufacturing information as proprietary information to prevent access to the other. This is because information sharing through the internet is normally limited (Maitra, 1996, p.Henry and his daughters are all occupied under the field of engineering. Henry is a professional engineer and part-time lobbyist involved in an academia industry under the Department of Transportation smart highway plan known as SANSHANDS. The project goal is to build up specifications for automated highways and car control structures. Laura, Henry’s daughter, works at the Department of Transportation. She is a professional Engineer and will be technical project director on the SANSHSANDS. Her responsibilities as a project director encompasses compiling and recommending the specifications for the computer control structures that will guide R&D. Julie, Henry’s other daughter, is an intern with OUTOCAR, a local engineering company. The three are engineers. They live together and talk about the project during their off hours and sometimes go beyond discussing their challenges to discussion beyond ethical lines, sharing proprietary information or by creating software and using another company’s product as an example, contrary to ethical provisions.Henry and his two daughters are all involved in engineering.
