To the statistics conducted about the issue of discrimination in the United States, i is evident that approximately 13% of the population is comprised of the African Americans and they make up to 14% of the drug users monthly. Hwever, 37% African Americans are arrested for offenses that are drug related. Plice officers are more likely to call for African Americans to pull over and frisk them more than the whites. I New York, fr instance, aproximately 80% of individuals frisked are African Americans compared to only 8% whites frisked.

These African Americans have a 33% more chance of being detained for felony charges than the whites. Te African Americans receive a 10% longer sentencing than the whites in the federal justice system. I addition, te African Americans have a 21% chance of receiving mandatory sentencing while 20% of these black Americans are more likely to be sentenced than the white’s drug dealers (Bonilla-Silva, 4. Tus, dspite the many individuals in the United States claiming that racism has been eradicated, tis is not the case since such continually reported in America.

Arican Americans lag behind in every area of social life. Tis indicates that they are three times likely to be poor than the whites earning 40% less than their white counterparts (Bonilla-Silva 14). Tese African Americans receive inferior education even if they attend integrated education. Te police also condemn them to racial profiling with highly racial criminal court system which makes them overrepresented in the criminal justice system. Rcial profiling is a prevalent phenomenon and the most recent case is the Ferguson protests where African Mchael Brown which led to heightened protests among the African Americans community.

Mst of the whites claim that the issue of inequality based on race ended with the election of the current American president. Yt, te issue is far from over. Mst of the African Americans are subjected to unfair treatments in almost all sectors of the society. Tey are underrepresented in the political arena and in the socio economic areas. Mst of the individuals in the poorly paid job sectors are the African Americans. Mreover, te justice also to this issue of racism.

Te African Americans are harshly treated than their white counterparts in the various stages of the criminal justice system. Te police use deadly force on them and they are more prone to death penalties than. ..
