Calcium needs to consume in large quantities so as to deter fractures during championships or osteoporosis in the later years. Usually, female athletes need to ensure that they take more calcium. This mainly occurs due to lower estrogen levels and therefore lesser bone strength. On the other hand, iron is vital since it circulates oxygen in the body. Lower iron levels would translate to fatigue as well low energy. These mineral may be obtained through Vitamin C rich diets.Pregnant mothers need to take meals that amount to 1800 calories or more.
