Kelly Thomas – Senior Engineer, Product Development
Kelly Thomas is of the view that Pat Lambert should not be assigned leadership since she doubts Pat’s ability to lead. Kelly assumes that Pat doesn’t possess the qualities required to lead “Operation Optimize” since Pat has irrelevant previous experience in a cereal industry.
Since Pat was unable to comprehend the term “QC,” Kelly assumes Pat has no knowledge of quality control and the difficulties associated with the same. Thus she feels it would be impossible to produce a new product under her guidance.
Kelly assumes that Pat Lambert has made a mistake in proposing the new features for the product because they cannot be incorporated into the current project.
Kelly is also concerned about the additional workload on existing staff and feels that since staff has been reduced, the existing will come under extra burden with the launch of the new project.
Kelly also feels that Pat is deliberately trying to hurt her position by speaking to her programmers without consulting her first.
