It is said that she was often inspired by her own life. She did not shy away from singing about daring issues such as contraceptive pills in her song “Pills” or about multiple childbirths in “One’s on the Way.” In spite of her popularity she was banned by many local country stations but that did not deter her from becoming the First lady of Country Music in 1980. Another facet of her lyrics and songs was that she promoted patriotism and freedom along with individualism (Banes, 283). In fact later on, blues became a very integral part of the music he produced. However, he was inflicted by tuberculosis at the age of 24 and had to quit his job. However, this gave him the opportunity to concentrate entirely on music. In 1926 he performed as a yodeler and in the same year formed his band- Jimmie Rodgers Entertainers which soon broke up. After this he went solo and signed deal with Victoria Records. His music sold really well and he eventually became a superstar. Some believe that Jimmy was a singing star who was in true sense original in all ways. His style and work pioneered the ways for other eminent artists such as Hank Williams and Lefty Frizzel and other non-country singers such as Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra (Seeman, 340)Even during the Depression Jimmy’s music sold really well even though he
