Hwever, tey all react differently to their separate situations: Bbinôt worries over and wife, ad his and his son’s appearance for when they begin to go home; Carisse is unaware of what happens, oly being told by a letter received from her husband; Acée and Calixta find comfort in each other, tough still worrying over the well-being of their spouses.

I The Story of an Hour, te main character reacts to the situation differently than expected, gven the fact that she has heart problems, ad the characters in The Storm react indifferently to their problems. Te end of The Story of ends with the death of Louise, wo had died of joy and shock at the sight of her husband who had been announced dead, ater having been in an accident.

Te ending of The Storm can be seen as “happily ever after, ”with the right people not knowing the wrong thing - a secret that does not need to be revealed, lst things go out of control for the two different families. Dspite the lack of knowing what went on, te letter Alcée wrote to his wife, wile and of concern and care, aso gave off an air that suggested he was happy with their current situation.
