Before they turned, Dlan Klebold and Eric Harris were intelligent teenagers who came from solid families (Finley 24). I elementary school, tey took part in games such as baseball and soccer. Te two teenagers enjoyed working with computers and playing video games. I 1993, te boys met while attending Ken Caryl Middle School (Hasday 12). Ater joining high school, te boys had a hard time fitting in any clique; ahletes and senior boys regularly picked on them. Fr all external appearances, te boys seemed normal. Tey both worked at local pizza parlour.

Bth Harris and Klebold became interested in German a lot and to some extent worshiped Hitler. Tey developed a love for technology, volent video games and German music bands (Hasday 13). Eic Harris developed his own website, wich he used to express his hatred feelings towards the society. Gadually, te site contained death threats against teachers and students. A they grew up, te two friends became delinquents. I 1998, te police arrested both Harris and Klebold after they broke into a van and stole some tools 23).

Te court charged them with trespassing, teft and criminal mischief. Hwever, bing minors the court enrolled them into a diversion program, wich comprised of counselling and community service. Hrris attended psychologist classes based on anger management. Pychologists considered Harris a cold-blooded psychopath, sart and a charming liar. H also possessed superiority complex, wich made him feel more imperative than the rest of the students. O the other hand, Kebold had a history of drinking, bt none of them attended any substance abuse classes. I 1999, te state released each with remarkable results.

Bth Harris and Klebold had a personal journal in which they wrote their personal feelings and thoughts. Te journals documented the plan for a major bombing. Kebold wrote about his thoughts on suicide and how he contemplated on committing it. O the other hand, Eic complained of anger, dpression and also possessed thoughts on committing suicide. Eic had issued a death threat to one of the students known as Brook Brown. Dspite their behaviour, n one thought that Harris and Klebold would commit the 20th attacks in Columbine High School.
