The organization took immense efforts to improve American race relations. Snce the organization had been following a relatively passive protest tactics, te emergence of more confrontational protest styles in raised potential challenges to the organization’s sustainability.

Te NAACP website indicates that the organization’s goal is to secure various constitutional rights guaranteed for the citizens in the 13th, 14th, ad 15th Amendments to the US Constitution, wich represent “end to slavery, te equal protection of the law, ad universal adult suffrage” respectively (NAACP home page).

Te NAACP mission statement reflects that the organization’s principal aim is to “ensure the political, eucational, scial, ad economic equality of minority citizens of the United States and eliminate race prejudice” (NAACP mission statement). I NAACP, mmbership is open to all regardless of people’s gender, rce, rligion, o politics. Wile analyzing the current membership demographics of the organization, i seems that Negro population accounts for a majority percentage of NAACP members. Tere is a small percent of whites in NAACP. Snce the start of the NAACP, wmen have been a part of the organization even though they had many challenges to face.
