The leaders are happy to cross the boundaries of the organizational management so that they can help the employees. Suthwest Airlines has strong business-level strategies. The customer value approach reduced the passengers boarding times by allowing the ticketless travel, ad there was no specific seat that was assigned to a passenger. Te airline also has its planes flying from various point, hwever, tere was no expansion into international flights. Te foundation of the Airline competitive advantage is through maximization and continuous appreciation of human capital. Southwest corporate culture is on three pillars namely a servant heart, awarrior spirit, ad the fun-filled attitude, wich are necessary for the practice in their day-to-day activities.

Te company has also put more effort in empowering the employees, rght from the subordinate staffs to the top management. A a result, i will reflect outward to the customers and increase the returns and profits. Suthwest had a higher level of supervisory staffing which resulted in improved performance in various settings other than in their airline industry. Frontline supervisors also played a significant role in new product development that lead to better performance than groups with a greater supervisor’s autonomy.

Te higher supervisory staffing allows a more intimate and informal relationship to develop between the supervisors and the frontline workers, tus setting context towards a common goal (Freiberg & Freiberg, 1996). O the other hand, hman capital is not only expensive to maintain, bt also to develop. Tis has resulted in lay-off workers in various organizations, icreasing the stock exchange rates of the firm within a short period. Athough, wth an exceptional management to a good strategy will ensure the company operation costs are reduced, a a result the productivity increases.

Hwever, i is crucial to maintain the staffs are motivated and maintain good customer relationship (Babbar & Koufteros, 2008). Te employees should also have a room for creativity and growth in their line of duty. Oer the past few years, te Southwest Airlines has faced many problems due to the imbalance between the human capital valuation, poduction, ad cost cutting. Fr the airline strategy of human capital to be successful, te top should be able to balance these factors.
