Canadian Federal Campaigns of 2011. The Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) recorded great success in 2011 by winning the election and gaining a significantly large number of seats. This was history repeating itself after the duration of 23 years (Argyle, 2011) and this makes the 2011 federal elections to have a great importance in the Conservative Party. Astonishingly, the campaigning platform of bringing about stability in Canada was not very strong to win the big numbers it was reported by political analysts. This paper discusses the 2011 federal campaigns in Canada and more specifically the conservative party campaigns.
Comparatively, the Conservative party is believed to have benefited from the political alliances that it had made in the past years and not the campaigns of 2011 (Jeffrey, 2011).

Specifically, the win is attributed to the merging of the conflicting conservatives which happened in 2003 (Pammett, 2011). The factions in conservatism for many years proved to be very unhealthy to the Conservative party and it is the factions that were blamed for its continued failure mostly in federal elections. Forming a minority government means that a party is second in rank of power and the Conservative party had controlled the minority government which meant that the party was more visible and therefrom stronger than other parties which formed neither the government nor the minority government (Mallea, 2011).
It is these two pre-campaign and pre-election aspects that are linked to the mammoth triumph of the conservative party in 2011 federal elections (Pammett, 2011). Nevertheless, the organization of the general campaigns is said to have been topnotch in comparison with other parties (Argyle, 2011). The party leader Stephen Harper is applauded for the enormous role that he played in organizing his party. However, he did not contribute to the success alone as in every campaign there are people behind the curtains who play a very great role in making strategies on how to carry out the campaign process.
