The relationships build on these sites could not be relied upon as one would in the real world relationships that they foster. The connections are not with genuineness and sincerity but rather for audience and company. Thus these relationships are not of true connection as one would have in real world.Secondly, an individual engaging in social networking through these electronic platforms is much likely to be victims of cyber-bulling (Oh, Ozkaya, & LaRose, 2014). This occurs a lot with the celebrities. However an ordinary person can as well be a victim of the same. Children on the other hand are also constant casualties of cyber bulling. This often from these who want to terrorize them and pose as people close to them, those they know or even as their peers. The implication of this attack on the students can be devastating to the children. Further, it can cause much mental torture on the victim. The anonymity that people can afford online is a cause for alarm. This anonymity can be used by criminals to achieve certain dangerous objectives that may leave the victim with a lot of mental scars. The dark impulses that this anonymity can bring to the users of these social sites can be prevented only by not being a part of such sites. People tend to share their life happenings on these social sites and thus can also be used by unsuspecting cyber criminal who would pause as a family member, or friend due to their understanding of the life events of an individual and cause harm to their lives.Another outcome is decreased productivity. This is with respect to an individual’s productivity and the productivity of an organization. Many businesses and organization or finding connections to partners and clients through this sites but they can also be a source for distraction of employees. The employees on the sites may be occasionally showing interests in what their friends are updating and as such get engaged in them at the expense of their duty. The organizations that have most of their employees in these sites tend to experience a reduction in productivity due to the time lost in accessing social sites.
