It is a movie shown in 1994 but continues to share its relevance in organizational behavior studies today. Athough the movie is done in a comical way, te characters played perfectly the roles in a conflict situation in an organization; oe that tries autocratic authority to compel obedience, ad an employee-employer relationship based on fear. The movie gives credit to the saying “the end justifies the means”, werein the finale of the movie shows the assistant elevated to a higher position and giving lectures that should make use behavior approaches other than autocratic, wile image of his boss fades out, siling.

Oganizations differ in operational behaviors, tat could either be autocratic, spportive, cllegial, o system (Mukhopadhyay, S A manager, i an autocratic manner, gts his authority from his position. Hs managerial orientation is authority. Oedience is the basic characteristic of this relationship, dties of employee depends on the boss. I such a situation, oly basic needs of the employee are met as performance result is low. Seemingly, tere is lack of motivation to grow. Te employee film, fllows everything the boss asked him to do, een if it is out of his job description.

A the title suggests, te employee is forced to abide with the “shark” because of fear of losing his job and his ultimate hope to grow in the film industry. I custodial arrangement, te boss is profit oriented and his orientation is towards keeping the resources of the company. I a way, tis keeps company and its employees financially secured, wile employees participation is passive or lukewarm. The film failed disclose part as it was told from the start that it is a big one in Hollywood and financial security of employees is assured.

Te plot of the firm did not show supportive system because of poor leadership. Spportive system works through leadership, mnagement support, ad looks at job performance of employees. I return, iterests of employees are stimulated to give their best performance, fr which they expect to receive recognition. Guy was not given recognition for his work done that is one of motivational factors of performance. work harder anticipation of merits from management.

Acollegial system is one that calls for a partnership and teamwork. I this, eployees are supposed to be responsible for his behavior, wose end results. ..
