From Canada, Bell moved to the United States and became a teacher there. He mastered a system called Visible Speech, which was originally developed by his father himself to teach the deaf children. In 1872, he created a school in Boston. Its sole purpose was to educate the teachers who teach the deaf. Then soon, it attained the status of being a part of the Boston University. His mother was also deaf, so like some other influential people, he believed that deafness was something that should be eliminated. He was of the view that the deaf should be taught to speak, rather than by using sign language. He wanted to bring deaf people close to the society, which were rejected by society at that time (A&E Television Networks, LLC, 2014; Smithsonian Institution Fitzgerald, 1903).It is significant to throw light on his breakthrough inventions, and his first invention was a “husking machine”. Graham bell had a friend named Ben. Ben’s father owned a flour mill. They got a great idea, which could be very useful for the flour mill. So, they put their utmost efforts and build a husking machine, which proved to be so successful that it was used continuously in incoming years. As a reward, they were provided with a small workshop by Ben’s father, where they could carry out experiments for their inventions (Smithsonian Institution Fitzgerald, 1903).At the time 1873-1876, he continued his trials, and attempted to build a device that could convert sound into observable tracings. During his study, he was conducting some Helmholtz’ electrical experiments, and then working with the electrical circuits, he converted his one idea into the reality and invented the Harmonic telegraph (Osborne, 1943). It is kind of a telegraph, which could be used to send a number of transmissions through just a single wire. After facing unexpected difficulties, he also turned towards phonautograph. Then he struggled to build a device in which the deaf voices can be entered and translated into visible tracings. He didn’t bring his device to the level where it could be used for deaf, but it did serve him well in his telephone experiments. During these trials, he got the concept of the membrane element in the telephone (Gray, 2006).He shared this idea with two of his students’ fathers’ named Gardiner Hubbard and Thomas Sanders. Their interest was piqued. They decided to help him financially. Alexander bell spent the midnight oil to perfect his ideas, and the
