In many areas, the group was recognized for enhancing improvement in the society for instance; eradicating crime, which in many areas enhanced peace. Studies outline that, the knights Templar encountered various challenges in their attempt to stand and lay a strong foundation for Christ (Medieval History 1). In most cases, the group went under torture, and many confessed to the blasphemy while others were burned at the stake. To the Knights Templar, suffering was a sign that signified that they were serving God in fear and trembling.
Along with Hospitallers, the Knights Templar became permanent defenders of Latin settlements of East entrusted with key fiefs and castles. The Knights Templar had benefits of setting a clear mission of living a life fully committed to Christ.
