That are essential towards effective comprehension of human behavior within certain places like schools, workplaces among others (Sarris & Kirby 2012). While taking the course, learners get a chance to develop certain in-depth knowledge about group norms and behavior. During the course, learners are expected to create and work in effective focus groups and teams in order to meet the laid down goals and objectives. Tutors and people in management opportunities organize their students and employees respectively in teams and groups with certain objectives. Most often, work teams are often preferred than groups; this is because, teams have certain advantages and attributes with the capacity to deliver excellent and effective results (Jennings 2007). One of the distinctive features between a team and a group is that as far as goals and object are concerned, teams often work based on collective performance and responsibility.

On the other hand, groups carry out their duties based on shared information, in this case, members groups carry out their responsibilities differently depending on their skills and talent endowments while in teams, people value and esteem each other’s efforts. Research and management reports have often indicated those organisations that have effective teams perform better that those that insist on group structures and processes.
