Tis comes because of the high competition from the close rivals as every firm seeks to acquire and retain the best talents to assist in innovation, wich is one of the most key determinants of performance in the modern environment of business operations. Te other major issue is the ability to motivate employees to achieve the highest possible performance through the adoption of a reward system.

Te resource based model suggests that the business must have the right amount of human capital if it aims at achieving high performance. Te performance of the organization according to Ling & Nasurdin (2011) is related to the quality and quantity of its human capital. Te business, wile operating on large scale, i has to acquire and develop the employees to have better skills and capabilities than the employees serving in the rival organizations. Tis model drives the business into adopting a high commitment management system that entails the establishment of mutual form of commitment in the business that will influence performance.
