A technological issue that the method has is that there should be turbines that are run by the motion of the water so that electric power is generated therein. One of the setbacks of water energy is that the plants take a lot of space and may cause the depletion of flora and fauna. The space could have otherwise been used for recreational activities and other methods that help in strengthening the economy.

The water energy sites erected on rivers disrupt their flow and endanger the animals that live in the water. Due to the global climate change, there are changes that need to be done so that the method becomes accommodative of the remaining generations. Advancements in the system have also seen the betterment of the hydrological and the carbon cycle so that the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere is limited. The turbines used can accommodate the flow of the rivers without impeding the water movement and aquatic life.

The dams have been secured with safety measures such as fences which prevent the loss of life and any foreign materials from entering the water. It is a natural source of power that is extracted from the flow of air using the wind turbines to produce electrical power. The mills are used for their mechanical power.

Windmills are economical when constructed in areas with faster wind speed. There are two types of windmills i. offshore wind power and onshore wind power. Offshore wind power is generated when the windmills are constructed in water bodies to generate electricity. The installation can use more frequent and powerful winds that are present in the large water bodies.

Suppliers of wind turbines include Siemens and Vestas. Onshore wind power generation involves construction of windmills in places that are not water bodies for example on land. Onshore wind power generation is more economical as compared to offshore generation because the later requires sophisticated turbines which
