Genuine caring association, and being present to support positive and negative feelings as a link with an insightful spirit of the carer and recipient of the care. To achieve trusting caring rapport nurses require self-awareness of any ensuing feelings that could cultivate intimacy from their cross boundaries. Therefore, nurses should share inner feelings with their patients, develop moral commitment and conscious caring resulting to willful connection with their clients during the caring moment/occasion when patients and nurses interacts. This paper is designed into four different sections. The first part is the introduction section that provides the general overview of the theory, and the summary of the theory.
The second part of the document contains the problem faced by palliative care nurses. The third section involves the strategy for implementing the theory in the selecting healthcare settings, rational for selecting that strategy and the ethical issue associated with the strategy. The last section of the paper is the summary of the main ideas discussed in the document. Studies have established that patient require the guidance of the caregivers in order to attain significant knowledge, discovery, learning and advancement (Bramadat, Coward & Stajduhar, 2013).
However, the patient’ s understanding and perception of caring vary according to patient’ s category. For instance, medical-surgical patients perceive physical caring experience and capability to convey the general feeling of wellness of great significance. The patients in intensive care unit (ICU) view compassion and technical proficiency are of the same significance. However, cancer patients put more emphasis on emotional caring actions. The technique used in delivering caring is of significance to both the patient and the nurse. For instance, patient-centered care has adverse consequences on the physical health of the caregivers.
Reengineering the patient-problem-saturated narratives can be one of the approaches used by nurses at various levels to augment the self-esteem of the patient (Lachman, 2012). There are various caring behavior used by the healthcare providers.
