There is no technostructure since the organization is still relatively small and young hence may not have sufficient resources to support such a group of analysts. The leader relies on a small team of support staff whose tasks overlap such that they have to play more than one role in the organization. The lack of proper structures implies that coordination is also informal although the leader maintains it through direct supervision.

The advantage of simple structure is that it allows the form to rapidly and quickly adapt to environmental changes. Machine bureaucracy differs significantly from the simple structure because the machine bureaucracy has the technostructure as its central pillar (Karlöf and Lövingsson, 2005, p. The structure has a very high number of technostructure because it demands a high degree of work specialization and formalization.
